MEMBER INTRODUCTION
Former Judge Marilea Lewis, a fifth generation Texan, served as judge of the 330th District Court in Dallas from 2002 to 2010. She first served as a judicial officer, as the Master/Referee of the 305th District Court from 1986 until 1992, then as associate judge of the 330th District Court from 1992 to 2002. Judge Lewis is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists. Board Certification requires continuing education and involvement in the issues of family law, including marriage, adoption, divorce, custody, support and ownership of property acquired before and during marriage. She is also a mediator in both general and family practice, and is qualified to sit as a Special Judge. Reflecting the long-term standard of excellence established in her legal practice, she has been selected for inclusion on the list of The Best Lawyers in America since 2013 in recognition of her work in the area of mediation and family law. She was also named to the LawDragon 2020 500 Best Lawyers in family law. In addition, she has been named to the list of Top 100 Texas Super Lawyers in , by Thomson Reuters, and the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers in Texas and among the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Dallas/Fort Worth. She also is a recipient of D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas honors.
