MEMBER INTRODUCTION
Kathryn is currently serving as the judge of the 494th District Court in Collin County, Texas. She is not accepting clients.
Kathryn has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2009. She has been recognized as a SuperLawyer by Thomson Reuters from 2011-2024, and has been included in the publication “The Best Lawyers in America” from 2016-2024. Kathryn has 31 years of legal experience. Prior to focusing on family law in 2004, she prosecuted the rights of victims in catastrophic personal injury matters. She brings that same passion, commitment and tenacity to her family law practice. Over the course of her career, she has developed a strong reputation as a skilled negotiator and litigator in high net worth divorce cases. Kathryn has extensive experience handling both amicable and high conflict divorce and custody cases throughout Collin, Denton and Dallas counties.
In addition to her practice, Kathryn has lectured at various events and for different organizations. She has authored articles for publications through the Dallas Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. A distinguished member of her legal community, Ms. Pruitt is a member of the Texas Family Law Foundation and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists.
Ms. Pruitt received her law degree from South Texas College of Law, where she was an Articles Editor of the Law Review and graduated cum laude.
