MEMBER INTRODUCTION
A United States Army Veteran, single Mom to two and grandmother of five, a board-certified family lawyer, business owner and graduate of the University of Houston and University of Houston Law Center, Diane St. Yves has been involved in the State Bar of Texas and the legal community for over 30 years. Diane serves as Director for the State Bar of Texas for District 4. Diane served on the District 4-2 Grievance Committee, is a Sustaining Life Fellow in the Texas Law Foundation, serves on the Texas Family Law Foundation assisting with family-law related legislative issues, has been an active member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists, serves on the board of the Council on Recovery and serves as an Ambassador for The Houston Recovery Center. Diane speaks at workshops that support individuals in the divorce or custody process to provide information and education. Diane serves as a mentor in the HBA’s mentoring program, works Legal Lines, with Veterans Legal Clinics, the Fort Bend County Volunteer Lawyers and HBA Volunteer Lawyers. Board certified in family law and owner of her own firm, Diane is well-aware of the challenges that lawyers face including defending themselves in grievance issues, addiction and mental health issues in the profession and promoting civility and collegiality among the bar.
