Member Introduction

I am a former Captian in the United States Marine Corps. I practice all aspects of family law primarily in Denton County. As a Board Certified Family Law Specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for over 32 years, I have the experience, knowledge and skill to take on any Texas family law issue. I know that divorce and other family law issues are very stressful and difficult for the parties involved. I listen to and care about my clients and try to have patience and to achieve client goals. I consider my practice to be client focused whether we are in a litigation mode, mediation mode or in the collaborative law process. I am the past President of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, Past President of the Denton County Bar Association and the Denton County Collaborative Professionals. As a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, I have contacts all over the United States. I have written or presented 40 articles and topics for law schools, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and the State Bar of Texas. For 19 years I have been a contributing author of the five volume Texas Family Law Practice Manual and Practice Notes. I have also been a contributing author for the Expert Witness Manual and the LexisNexis Texas Annotated Family Code.
